What is Puberty?
Puberty is for both boys and girls, everyone will go through puberty. Puberty is when a child's body develop into an adult's body. It involves Physical, Intellectual, Social, and Emotional changes. When having puberty, your body becomes stronger and more developed and will have changes in the way of how you think and feel. Your moods will change anytime from day - day. An example is: today you feel a bit depressed, but the day after you might be happy and relaxed. You'll also notice other changes that is occuring to your body. Some Physical changes that will happen during puberty is that you will get pimples, straight long hair will grow under your arms and your pubic area. The shape of your body will also change. For girls, your waist may get smaller, and your hips may get a little wider. For boys, your penis size will become different, voice will become deeper, and your shoulders will get bigger. The social changes that will change is when you start to take interest in boys/girls, and to become friends with more people no matter if they are girls or boys. What caused these changes and how? Hormones caused these changes. These hormones will affect different parts of your body. Puberty begins when the pituitary gland that is under and attached to the brain and which sends out the messages for the reproductive hormones to be builded/made. Every girl develops puberty at their own rate. Most girls begins puberty at around the age of 8 - 13, but some may start earlier or later. Boys begin puberty later than the girls do (around 9 - 14), as you will see that some girls are taller than boys at an earlier age.
